Who is REALLY responsible for who is in charge? A people who choose their OWN sovereigns? A people who set up IDOLS of silver and gold for themselves? A self-serving, self-absorbed and self-important people. A people who are going their OWN way apart from Him. A people who say they are serving YHVH…a people who say they know Him. YHVH calls them transgressors…YHVH calls them rebels…they give no thought or consideration to His covenant…they do not live by His Torah. They HAVE rejected what IS good…they have turned aside from His Word and from the things that come from Him. They stop up their ears and REFUSE to hear. They bring judgment and woe upon themselves. They pay a heavy price… Cut off? Woe! WOE!! The shofar sounds…the warning goes out. Who will turn from being wise in their own eyes and humble themselves before Him? Who will submit to His authority? Who will acknowledge Him as their sovereign? Who will repent in sackcloth and ashes? How many who SAY they are His WILL be cut off? Hosea 8:1-4 1 “Put the ram’s horn to your mouth, like an eagle against the House of יהוה, because they have transgressed My covenant, and they have rebelled against My Torah. 2 “They cry out to Me, ‘My Elohim – we, Yisra’ĕl, know You!’ 3 “Yisra’ĕl has rejected what is good, an enemy pursues him. 4 “They have made sovereigns, but not from Me. They have made rulers, but I have not known. From their silver and gold they made idols for themselves, so that they are cut off. Always, seek the truth…rethink, relearn, return.
