Who is Sandra Duru? Who is this woman who even her foes agree that she is quite untouchable, which could be an admittance of a fact that she is bigger and better than them? I took out time to pay this young mother of two lovely and intelligent kids a visit at her Lagos Office during a recent business trip, to see for myself whether everything I have been hearing from many quarters about her was true but to be frank, what I saw is a far cry from the accusations made against her person. Starting from the neat and splendid exterior to a well organized interior of a very marvelous building that houses her office, one cannot fail to notice accomplishment in the surrounding. I took out time to ask her questions and observe as well as quietly and indirectly make inquiries about her character from within and outside her abode. Disciplined, she is and that I see would be one of the reasons some undisciplined characters would find fault with her; Sandra Duru does what she wants to do not what you who is her best friend want her to do. She can be classified as a workaholic and perfectionist making it difficult for clumsy and disorganized characters to work with her. She is strict as was evident from the way she ran her household keeping everybody up and doing always and that really impressed on me the kind of woman Sandra Duru is. Several people have called her many things. Chiefly of that was the accusation of a blackmailer and it baffles me that up till today, none have been able to point out one person Sandra Duru have blackmailed. A young man friend of mine called her an old woman and when I asked whether he has seen this woman before he could not give an answer. If Sandra Duru, who is my junior in age is an old woman, then I wonder what I am. Two of such accusers I learnt and they even exposed themselves to me when I asked some indirect questions, had begged Sandra for money and when she did not give it, she became their enemy. For somebody who some people claim is broke, I can boldly refute that the young lady is well to do and very successful. She drives two expensive SUVs (Mercedes Benz G-Wagon and Honda CRV) for somebody some people out of envy say is broke, resides in a house which if rented would go for a rentage of about N3million a year, her goodwill to people is legendary where she resides as she is known for dashing money to all and sundry from the gate-men at the entrance of the estate to the fuel attendant who all know her for her benevolence so I wonder, why all the slander. Many have made their allegations against her which up till now nobody have mentioned a name or substantiated their claims rather have been spreading hearsay around and confusing gullible ones. Many of them keep contradicting themselves when I interrogated them. I am just to intelligent to be fooled, I read between the lines and remember very well as well as know how to put two and two together and reach a conclusion. I have carried out investigations on some of these her accusers and the stories I have heard about many of them are not encouraging to warrant the kind of attacks they have been throwing around making me wonder whether this isnt envy fueled attacks. I am still open to change my mind about her but as I will always say, I do not believe in fiction rather I stand by facts. If anybody have concrete facts against her, feel free to share let me look into it. The kind of facts I need is not a supposed school statement which even IMSU cannot release the information of their students to anybody unless through court order let alone a more disciplined foreign institution. Im not that foolish either to listen to hearsay unless confronted with facts which so far none of the people accusing her have failed to produce. Who has she blackmailed? Give us names. If really she is lying against Prince Eze Madumere, why is she not in prison? I was told she blackmailed a former IG of Police and a former Head of State, can her accusers give of the names of these people lets confirm? Somebody said she is an ex-convict. Which date was she sentenced and who did the sentencing? For what crime and for how long was she sentenced? Some accusations against this woman are so funny that I wonder what is the motive of her accusers? Did they beg money from her and she refused? Are the envious of her? Were they paid to attack her like I suspect a certain friend of mine is? To prove otherwise, I call on her accusers to meet my questions and if you cannot then do yourselves a great good and mind your business. The woman you are killing yourself over and drinking panadol for another persons wahala doesnt even know you exist and doesnt care so na yourself you dey do not her. A final warning goes to my friends who may not be friends with somebody and want to force their enemity on me. Even my fathers enemy cannot be my enemy until he makes me his enemy, that been said, I would never want to be dragged into your battles and enemities. I fight my own battles, I dont fight battles that are not mine. That is the matured thing to do. Nobody can force me into joining them in attacking their enemies who happen to be my friends. There are people I associate with such as Mr. Uche Onwuchekwa who despite our difference in ideas and political divide is still civil and for that I hold him in outermost respect. Even the late Prince Noel may not have agreed with me on many issues and may not be in good terms with some of my friends but that didnt stop my friendship with him. I am not a woman rather a man who reason above mere bickering and gossips. If anyone decides that because I am friends with Sandra Duru or any other person that he or she would become my enemy, suit yourself, you can never make me what I would be tomorrow, only God has that power. Until proven otherwise, I duff my hat for this woman Sandra Duru, a strong independent woman who should be an example for many wayward girls to emulate and strive for a better future for themselves rather than fighting somebody who doesnt even know they exist.
