Who is the Branch??? Isaiah 11:1 Several generations pass before YaHuWaH decrees the direction of Amanuwal lineage: There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots (Isaiah 11:1). Jesse lived at least eight generations after Yahuwdah during the days of the prophet Samuel. He and his family had lived in the town of Bethlehem in the territory of Yahuwdah for several generations—at least since the time of Boaz (Ruth 2:4). Matthew 1 and Luke 3 both mention Jesse in their genealogies. In Romans 15:12, Shaul (Paul) connects Amanuwal HaMashyach descending from Jesse to the hope of the Gentiles: And again, Isaiah [11:10] says: There shall be a root of Jesse; and He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, in Him the Gentiles shall hope. Jesses female ancestors include three Gentiles—Tamar (Genesis 38), Rahab (Joshua 2;Matthew 1:5), and Ruth (Ruth 4:13-22)—who are also Amanuwal HaMashyachs ancestors. As Paul says, Amanuwal HaMashyach became a servant that the Gentiles might glorify YaHuWaH for His mercy (Romans 15:9). Mat 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be FULFILLEDwhich was spoken of YaHuWaH by the prophet, saying, Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Amanuwal, which being interpreted is, YaHuWaH/Aluhym with us. Jeremiah 23:5-6 These scriptures focus on the Branch as King, descending from David, making righteous judgments, ruling, and causing peace and security. Thus Revelation 19:16 calls Him, KING OF KINGS AND SOVEREIGN OF SOVEREIGNS. The Branch is Amanuwal HaMashyach Jeremiah 23:5 Jesse had at least eight sons (II Samuel 16:10-11), the youngest of which was David. YaHuWaH chose the line of this young shepherd boy to reign over Yasharal and ultimately to produce the King of kings: Behold, the days are coming, says YaHuWaH, that I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; a King shall reign and prosper, and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth (Jeremiah 23:5; seeIsaiah 9:6-7). Both of Amanuwals human parents were of the line of David (Matthew 1:1, 6; Luke 3:31), and it was well known during His ministry that Amanuwal HaMashyach was a son of David (Matthew 9:27; 15:22;21:9; etc.). Before His conception, Gabriel tells Mary, YaHuWaH YaHuWaH will give Him the throne of His father David (Luke 1:32). Paul reminds Timothy of what this means to Believers of the WAY: Amanuwal, the seed of David, was raised from the dead. . . . This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him. If we endure, we shall also reign with Him (II Timothy 2:8, 11-12). John 15:1-8 Amanuwal HaMashyach came to this earth as THE BRANCH and fulfilled all righteousness, qualifying to replace Satan and rule as King over all the earth. He proved His worthiness by remaining in full accord with His heavenly Father YaHuWaH, and bearing the spiritual fruit that makes redemption and salvation possible. Likewise, we - whether natural or grafted in (Romans 11:17-24) - are also branches attached to the solid trunk of the tree, Amanuwal HaMashyach. It is only by our abiding in Him - our attachment to Him - our close relationship with Him - that we produce any growth or YaHuWaHs works. As Paul writes in Romans 11:16, If the root is Kadosh (Holy),so are the branches. Our righteousness, works, and holiness come to us only because of our connection to Him. Amanuwal HaMashyach says that YaHuWaH, inlove, prunes us, chastens us, tries us, so that we become more profitable (see also Hebrews 12:3-11). He will do what He must to make us yield. But if we resist and eventually sever our connection with Him, we are fit only to be burned. YaHuWaH has no use for dead wood. YaHuWaH wants us to use this connection to His Son to bear much fruit, just as Amanuwal HaMashyach did. Doing so proves to Him, to ourselves, and to everyone else that we are true Believers, disciples of His Son, the Branch. By this, we will glorify YaHuWaH and secure our place in His Kingdom. The Branch Amanuwal HaMashyach Revelation 1:4-8 Verses 4-8 comprise an extended greeting to the seven assemblies in Asia (later specifically named in verse 11, as well as in chapters 2 and 3). As the human author of the book, John includes himself as a sender of the greeting, but the bulk of it reemphasizes the real authors: YaHuWaH the Father, shown as eternal and sovereign, and Amanuwal HaMashyach, extolled as the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth (verse 5). John ensures that we understand that Amanuwal HaMashyach is the same One who exhibited His love for us by sacrificing Himself for the forgiveness of our sins and made possible our future glorification (verses 5-6). In verse 8, he carries the identification even farther by quoting Amanuwals own words: I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says YaHuWaH, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. Lest we misunderstand, John makes certain that there is no doubt that Amanuwal HaMashyach isYaHuWaH of the Old Testament, the first and the last (Isaiah 44:6;41:4), the Almighty YaHuWaH, who declar[es] the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure (Isaiah 46:10). This extensive greeting certifies, not only that the prophecy has its source in YaHuWaH, but also that it will come to pass. The greeting also includes from the seven Spirits who [or which] are before [the Fathers] throne (verse 4), a quite controversial phrase. Commentators are divided among four interpretations, which can be summarized as angelic, symbolic, mystical, and Trinitarian. Understandably, the Trinitarian view—that the seven Spirits identifies a so-called Third Person of the Trinity—has the support of most Catholics and Protestants. Their primary reason centers on the fact that this phrase appears between greetings from YaHuWaH the Father and the Son of YaHuWaH. They contend that this phrase refers to the sevenfold description of the Spirit of YaHuWaH in Isaiah 11:2. The book of Revelation itself identifies the seven Spirits as equivalent to the Lambs seven eyes, which are . . . sent out into all the earth (Revelation 5:6). These seven eyes probably allude to Zechariah 3:9 and 4:10, where they are shown to be upon the stone, a symbol of the Branch/HaMashyach, and directly described as the eyes of YaHuWaH which scan [or rove] to and fro throughout the whole earth. In addition, Revelation 3:1states HaMashyach has [orpossesses] the seven Spirits of YaHuWaH, and Revelation 4:5calls them seven lamps of fire . . . burning before the throne. This may indeed be a description of the Kadosh Ruwach (Holy Spirit), is not as a Person somehow divided into seven parts, but as a seven-branched conduit of YaHuWaHs communication to the seven assemblies mentioned earlier in the verse. Thus, John includes The seven Spirits as a source of the prophecy to specify how it was imparted to the seven assemblies. The apostle Paul pens a similar greeting in II Corinthians 13:14, in which he writes of the grace of YaHuWaH Amanuwal HaMashyach, the love of YaHuWaH, and the communion of the Kadosh Ruwach (Holy Spirit), meaning that YaHuWaHs Ruwach (Spirit) is the means by which True Believers can have a relationship with YaHuWaH.
