Who is your Favorite Saint? Throughout the year the Church often remembers individual or groups of saints, often on the day of the their heavenly birthdays. Today on All Saints Day we remember all of them, from the least to the greatest. There are many understandings of sainthood and how to remember them. Some see the saints as already at the Lords Throne and so ask them to pray for us. Some remember them for their particular examples to us today of what a Christian life can look like. Some do neither. The Catechism says this: Q. What is the communion of saints? A. The communion of saints is the whole family of God, the living and the dead, those whom we love and those whom we hurt, bound together in Christ by sacrament, prayer, and praise. In both the Apostles and Nicene Creeds, we proclaim our belief in The Communion of saints Today is that day!
