Who knew that preparing for surgery is so exhausting? It is like gearing up for a trip or a wedding. Besides the hospital visits for more body violations and blood deposits, there are appointments for personal grooming! Since I have to do this, I had to have my hair looking good and no gray! Thank you, Kim! She is an amazing hair wizard. Those crazy docs dont allow colored nail polish nor long nails, so mine were cropped and coated in clear polish today by the best manicurist in town, Tashika Russell. Get this; no make-up! I almost swooned over that one. Me without even mascara and lipstick is a sight I cant quite wrap my brain around! The doc even nixed moisturizer! The air in the hospital is really dry, for heavens sake! Oh well, at least I will be a drooling, drugged-out, gutted fish with good hair and well-manicured nails. Seriously, you all have warmed my heart with your cards, letters, calls, texts, hugs, prayers, treats, and well-wishes. A girl couldnt ask for better friends! I am scared/crazy/nervous but I know that I am in good hands. The doctors are good, but it is Gods hands that I am putting my money on. He is in the drivers seat. God is always close, but these last seven months he has been more present in my life than ever before. We have witnessed a miracle and the Hillstrong team is on a roll. Please keep praying for Richmond. He is soooo much better and improving daily. Baby Richmond is making his arrival soon. Luana and Mila are cruising along and happy to be all together as a family. Everyone will be here for Thanksgiving! We have a great deal to be thankful for, especially this year. Peace Amen Hillstrong!
