Who remembers the night that Rick Rude showed up on both WCW Monday Nitro and WWF Raw Is War on the very same night on Nov. 17, 1997? For me this was an absolutely crazy moment in the Monday Night Wars and maybe is the most shocking moment. While Raw was taped in advance Nitro was live. Over on USA Network as Raw started Rick Rude was cutting a promo about Shawn Michaels. Over on TNT Nitro started as it usually did then with the n.W.o. coming out but there was a twist. As Hogan made his way down the ramp he turned and pointed to the entrance where low and behold out walked Rick Rude simultaneous to his appearance on Raw. Once Rude and Hogan joined the rest of the n.W.o. in the ring Rude cut a shoot style promo about the right and wrongs of professional wrestling. Rude was able to jump to WCW because he was working without a contract at the WWF/E.
