Who said Alderman by District was about race when we have had a diverse group of members who have fought for years to bring this issue forward. Today we have any opportunity to push back but the disappointments have been so many over the past twenty years many have just given up the battle. In 2010 we rallied over 150 people at the WOW Learning Center and marched to Walsh School where 33 people spoke in favor of electing our alderman by district and it was ditched by the Charter Revision Commission with opposition from a Black Commissioner and a Black Alderman, along with same Legal Counsel Joe Summa who the driving force behind its further demise on this coming Monday night at 6 pm in City Hall in the Chambers of Government. If just half of the people that were at this rally show up they would have to reverse and upgrade their proposal or the Governor and many local state offices can be affected. This commission is controlled by the its first black commissioner whose father was a recent appointee by the governor who is in the tank for the Democrats, who have been taken them for granted by the democrats. We must understand that all politics is local and until we break the cycle of an Apartheid Government at-large system here, we will remain and its all in the hands of this young man who has the deciding vote if it a party line vote but he thinks nobody is watching him. Thats why they shut down the video that shows him shutting me down in a charter revision public hearing, to show the white community he can handle Jimmie Griffin in Waterbury but I have news for him and his followers who ever they maybe hes a grown man now just like me.
