Who says prostheses cannot be beautiful? Bespoke Innovations company, of San Francisco, California, was founded in 2009 by an orthopedic surgeon and an industrial designer and currently uses 3D prints to make custom covers to add a special touch to the hitherto monochrome world of prosthetics. In addition, there is the project "Robohand", developed by a man from South Africa who lost four fingers in an accident of wood together with a mechanical designer, which allows people to print their own 3D hand prosthesis. There are also 3D printed prostheses for pets. Buttercup is a duck who was born with a paw facing backwards. Thanks to the New company Copy, the duckling now has two legs in full operation, besides the chance to lead a life of ordinary duck.
