Who says you cant have croutons on your salad when youre watching your food intake!? My girl made me some awesome low fat croutons today. Ive been saving my bread crusts for two loaves, waiting for these babies! Ingredients ➡ 5 slices of sourdough rye bread (including ends/crusts) ➡ Garlic salt ➡ Sea salt ➡ Dry minced garlic ➡ Pepper ➡ Light olive oil (optional) ➡ Non-stick cooking spray Instructions ➡ Preheat oven to 275 ➡ Cut bread into cubes and put into mixing bowl ➡ If using oil, drizzle very lightly across bread cubes; mix gently ➡ Sprinkle spices onto bread (to taste), mix gently ➡ Spray cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray ➡ Place seasoned bread onto cookie sheet evenly ➡ Spray non-stick cooking spray lightly over bread ➡ Bake at 275 for 20 minutes ➡ Increase heat to 300 degrees for 10 more minutes ➡ Remove and let cool. ➡ Store in air tight container to avoid bread from going stale (Haha!) Yeilds five 1/2c servings or ten 1/4 servings. Calories per 1/2 cup serving: 69 Macros (1/2c): 2.2g protien/13g carbs/0.9g fat
