Who the hell decides that these are good ideas? I mean, yeah, the technology is really cool, from a nerd viewpoint I have to concede that, not unlike the DARPA projects of vehicles driving autonomously through the desert, which could lead to unmanned resupply convoys that could be hit with IEDs without risking human life. I get it. Cool. But arming a robot, and giving it free will to engage and kill is lunacy. Nevermind the risk of remotely piloted aircraft whos signals theoretically could be hijacked remotely, or has been proven could be hijacked by zombie drones. War is risky, lives will be lost, but removing the human factor, with ethics, compassion, and judgement is not the answer. This is genuinely scary stuff.
