Who was the man who ride the bike? Jessica Blevins (the twin) and I decided we were going to go swimming behind the dam because there was a rope swing. The guy who rode the bike through town saved my life. We had the genius idea to ride our bikes across the damn. Stupid actually. We made it across the first time no problem. After getting wet and our shoes soaked and jumping off that rope a million times getting back across was no easy task. I was covered in moss and mud. He was in the cemetery and I thank God for that. Because I went back across the dam on my bike. and my shoe string got caught in the chain wheel and I slid into the wrong side of the dam. There was nothing to grab onto except the mossy covered dam edge. He heard us screaming and came down the hillside as I went under the water with the bike attached to my shoe. I couldnt get out. I thought I was going to die. After he pulled me out he told me the story of the two brothers who drown in that dam. I thought I was a goner. He gave me a lecture to never get in that dam again one because of the current and 2 because of the snakes. I never did go back after that. I hugged him and told him thank you! I never knew his name. But that day he was God sent!!
