Who will help us save this amazing 6 year old helper dog (as good as it gets at the shelter as far as behavior)? He has pneumonia & is on the kill list for tmrw. TY A volunteer writes: 6 year old Myrtle is with us as his owner became too ill to care for a pet anymore. Myrtle is a well mannered gentleman who has been well brought up, looks healthy and is the perfect weight. His coat is well groomed and flawless. It is a pleasure to take care of him. Why? Well, Myrtle is gentle, friendly , easy going and walks beautifully on the leash. He heels, stops at lights and is extremely well behaved when it comes to meet other dogs in the street. He seems of course housetrained. Would we expect less from a dog like him? He could serve as an example to many. Myrtle comes when called and settled right away by my side like he was my own dog, accepting caresses and looking tenderly at me.
