Who would have thought that two hillbillies from Santaquin, Utah would feel so sentimental about leaving Independence and Kansas City, Missouri! Our hearts are here in this New Jerusalem. We love the people ( crazies and all). It has been an honor to meet and love so many, many wonderful souls. Today is our final shift at Liberty Jail and tomorrow our last at the Independence Visitors Center. We have rejoiced, laughed till we hurt, and cried buckets of tears. Life here has been so full of surprises and adventures. We have fallen in love with the sweet sisters and elders we have had the privilege of serving with. They are giants of spirituality, generosity, and just plain fun!!!!! We will still be posting after we get home so its up to you if you still want to tune in. Our home is getting there. Its been difficult building a home long distance but also a great adventure that we are so thankful for! Our precious family waits eagerly for our return and we are just as anxious to love and hold and catch up with them. We love them so.
