Whoa....spent much of the afternoon yesterday at Barb Itens house with Bruce and Fred from the Davis Enterprise. Bruce s goal is to write a celebratory sports Feature Story about the journeys Barb and I travel as former athletes with terminal illnesses. It started off really tense, almost uncomfortable , but Bruce is a highly skilled journalist and was able to turn the conversation around so that all of us were animated and smiling by the end of the visit. Whew! He drove me back and forth to Vacaville so talked in depth about ....well...you know. Whatever it is that I talk about. Hes a great listener and a good driver too. I really appreciate good drivers. But thats a whole nother story. Thanks again to Susan Towne for providing the live action photo of our 1975 championship team.
