Whoa...this article blew my mind even more than the last one I shared!! My spirit is leaping over the wisdom in this. I was involved in youth ministry for a number of years, and SAW this same dynamic over and over. Our three sons, at church from the cradle on, all saw this happening to most of their friends...some of them, now in their 30s, still have yet to rediscover God. *How have the Jews managed to keep their faith and culture intact thru millenia of dispersion, persecution, cultural disconnectedness from each other? 90% of their faith is practiced at home, w/ DAD in charge of the family and at the head of the table...they didnt go to synagogue and act Jewish - it is their very life! Im convinced that churches need to have the whole family in the service together; it worked for the Pilgrims, it can work for us. This happens naturally in most micro- and home-churches....I pray the entire CHURCH gets this!!!
