Whoever Agreed To Step Down For Another Would not Regret His or Her Action Fayose Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has said that there was no truth in the allegation that he manipulated the list of delegates ahead of the ward congress of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 177 wards of the state. The governor was reacting to the allegation against him by a chieftain of the party and former senator, Ayo Arise, claiming that he had compiled the list of favoured delegates and candidates. Arise said of Fayose, “ He has already compiled the list of delegates in favour of my challenger, Duro Faseyi. The chairmen of all the wards and local governments have been summoned to Ado-Ekiti by the governor to sign the forged lists”. Explaining his position, the governor said he only gave directions on how the exercise should be carried out successfully, without any rancour. Fayose explained further that he did not only prevail on PDP members to eschew acts that could cause violence, but also appealed to aspirants to be cordial.
