Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like. He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded upon the rock. Luke 6:47-48 The foundation is the rock which is Christ and the foundation is layed in obedience. In Hebrews 12, we see there is coming a shaking which will leave only that which is unshakeable. Jesus describes in Luke 6 that unshakeable house built by walking in obedience to His words. Those things, as good and well-intentioned as they may be, will not stand if they are not built upon the rock and constructed according to His word. It is critical in these days that we hear the Lord and walk in obedience to what He is saying.
