Whoopi Goldberg knows what is up! You cannot live under the expectation of not being hit, if you hit someone, based on an antiquated ideal. The problem Ive always seen is this: you cannot argue equality when its beneficial, and then use inequality as your basis for arguments to also get benefits. If you are a 5 woman, who makes the decision to hit a 6 man...You know what you are doing. You are doing it, with the belief that he wont hit you back, even though youre the aggressor. Just because you are a woman doesnt mean that the man should not have the right to defend himself. Any time Ive ever been in that situation, Ive gone for other means to restrain the woman so that she cannot hit me, and I dont feel the need to hit her (i.e holding her arms away from you or standing behind her and holding her arms to the side, all while diffusing the situation). That said, neither side should ever put their hands on each other. If you make that decision, you live with that decision. If you have anger, walk away, or say what you need to say, and then talk it out. Shoutout to Marcoah LaVanné Pursley for posting this...good find!
