Whos that? Oh yeah, me. ;-) A longggg time ago, a bit over 10 years (Christmas time, 2003), during a vacation to California with my then wife, and her youngest daughter. This was their first time in California, and the reasons we went, was partly that, so they could get a glimpse of the beauty out here (I had lived here previously, and also traveled here many times over the years.), and I believe that for the most part, they had a lovely time. A LOT has changed in my life (as it has for theirs) since this photo was taken, along a beach in Santa Cruz. I do have a lot of me at the beach photos on my hard drive! (she says, selfishly ;) ) Anyway, Im not exactly sure what made me want to post this photo on here....maybe just to show how much I have changed, at least visually. Well....yesterday, I went over to my usual Sonoma County coastal spots, and while over there, I listened to some old cds Id made back when we (former spouse and I) were planning our wedding...and I heard the song (hadnt for quite awhile...too painful) that was our song (You Had Me From Hello--by Kenny Chesney), and I didnt plan on listening to the whole thing, but I ended up doing just that, and of course the waterworks REALLY started, sigh. Oh well, it was a good cry and I felt better (somehow!) afterwards. So, yeah, thinking about her over there made me a bit nostalgic about the good times we had together. I thought of posting a pic of us on here, but then I thought, no, better not, not without her permission, and since we dont communicate anymore (her choice).... So yes, this vacation was our only shared California connection, but at least it was a good one! :-)
