Why Alan Pardew Will Never Quit Newcastle. We don’t expect Alan Pardew to step down as Newcastle manager and resign, and there are at least a couple of good reasons for that. Alan Pardew – will never resign from Newcastle First of all on a personal level, you never want to quit a job – just give up and walk away and admit you are a failure. But the other major reason Alan Pardew and his coaching staff will not throw in the towel is more basic – as he will give up any right to compensation. The word coming through on Sunday from the papers was that Alan Pardew has been told it’s business as usual, which basically means he will be in charge of the side for the game on Saturday at home to Hull. And we don’t believe if Mike Ashley sacks Alan and his coaching staff – who signed a massive eight year deal two years ago – will cost Ashley a massive amount in compensation. Ashley is astute enough to have put into those contracts a specific compensation clause should Alan, John Carver and the rest of the coaching staff be fired. Talk of having to pay off Pardew for the remaining six years of his contract is simply nonsense. Newcastle were burned when they fired Sam Allardyce and his staff in January of 2008, and that cost the club around £6M, and we’re sure Ashley learned from that mistake. Last night Hull City looked a decent enough team in the 2-2 home draw with West Ham, and they seem to have a decent striker in Uruguayan Abel Hernandez ( 8 goals in 16 International appearances), who scored a great debut goal for Hull. Newcastle were in for Hernendez over the summer, and this is the former Palermo striker who dreamed of playing for Newcastle United, but we didn’t go in for him, and instead he signed for Hull City. Wonder if he is now dreaming of scoring against Newcastle on Saturday. And former 27 year-old West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame, who was signed by Hull from West Ham on the last day of the transfer window, also scored a nice goal against his former team. We could have done with signing Diame and Hernendez ourselves. And the best goal of the game came from Ecuador striker Enner Valencia, who rifled the ball into the back of the net from 25 yards out – it was a goal out of nothing. We were supposed to be after Enner in the summer, after he had such a good World Cup and scored three good goals for his country. Ben Arfa made his debut last night and came on for the last 12 minutes of the game.
