Why Aregbesola Deserves Second Term – Oke chieftain of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Odo-Otin Local Government Council Area of the State of Osun, Surveyor Oluseyi Oke, has justified the re-election of the State governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for second term. Oke who hails from Ward 15 in Oyan in the council area said Aregbesola’s second term ticket would translate into further transformation being witnessed across the state. The surveyor-politician who walked into the newsroom of OSUN DEFENDER Newspaper last Thursday said the numerous achievements of Aregbesola’s administration within a short time he has been in the saddle were enough for any man with conscience to identify with the administration. Oke’s words: “Ogbeni Aregbesola has been doing wonderfully well in all ramifications especially in his copious people-oriented programmes. “The recent unveiling of Opon-Imo (Tablet of Knowledge) for secondary school pupils in the state which was first of its kind in this country goes a long way to show the uniqueness of Ogbeni Aregbesola’s administration. “Urban Renewal programme is also worthy of mention coupled with provision of many infrastructure across the state which has elevated the aesthetics value of the state’s environment.” He said if the nation’s constitution allows it, he would have canvassed third term for the governor whose intervention into the state’s polity is divine based on his superlative achievements. His words: “Governor Aregbesola’s superlative performance has eminently qualified him for automatic second term slot in order for him to pluralise and consolidate his enviable achievements. “Even if our nation’s constitution permits third term for governors, I will spearhead the gospel for Ogbeni Aregbesola in this regard. My message to all progressive-loving people in the state is to join hands with the ACN governor in his bid for actualisation of the second term in the overall holistic transformation of our state. “For instance, through the ingenuity of Ogbeni, I am always at peace with myself to observe that the State of the Virtuous is always in the news for positive issues since the advent of this administration. It is highly commendable. “It is also on record that as a trailblazer, Ogbeni Aregbesola has reformed the State Civil Service through its democratization which was epitomized in the appointment of an elective Head of Service in person of Mr Sunday Owoeye”. Oke who has been a pillar of support for the ACN in Odo-Otin also observed that Ogbeni Aregbesola’s contributions to upliftment of education at all levels was legendary.
