Why Gay Men Should Not Be Scoutmasters ! The BSA trys to protect the youth at all cost. Not all gay men are drawn to young boys, however, if it were known that a gay leader molested a scout, everyone would want to know why the BSA allowed it to happen and hence a major law suite. There is no winning in this. Because the BSA has opened the doors to gay scouts, thousands have pulled their children out of the program. In time, there will be no 10 points of the scout law, no pledge, no duty to god or country and then there will be no Scouting program. Lord Baden Powell brought the Scouting movement to the USA to help guide our children through the developmental & informative years in hopes they would grow up to be honorable, wholesome, god loving people who would become productive contributors to our society. They would know right from wrong and have a working knowledge of how to fend for themselves and love others. I have many gay friends and family members. I do not tell them how they should conduct their lives, what organizations to join or shouldnt join, and they should have some idea that forcing their views and beliefs on those who do not wish to participate in said activities may alter or even destroy what was intended as a good program for our youth.
