Why Hell? Why would a loving God create a hell and punishment - TopicsExpress

Why Hell? Why would a loving God create a hell and punishment for people he wants to love? God has a good reason for hell. I want show why God created hell and why hell is necessary. First let me tell you story about nice family. Tom and Sarah met in college during their last year of study. Tom had come from farm country and Sarah was from small town in the Midwestern United States. Tom who was very tall and athletic had played quarterback on his college team. His team had done alright that year finishing 7-4 for the season and had enjoy playing in a minor bowl game. Tom had chosen History as his field of study and picked up a second major in Physical Education. Sarah had studied English. It took as both of them were destined to be teachers. They married about a month before graduation and made plans to settle down somewhere and have a large family. Tom had also surrendered to the ministry and was a youth minister and had gift with working with kids in the church. When they graduated, they bought house in Sarah’s hometown and got jobs the local community college. Tom was named coach of the football team. Sarah would help teach Freshman English. Tom was named youth minister in a local church and Sarah took up teaching the children the Sunday School. All was looking bright when Sarah was told by her doctor she could not have children. They were heartbroken, but soon found specialists and they had triplets. The local wrote a huge story. The local television station even done a piece on them. The students and church got together and did big benefit for them. The day the three girls entered the local public school, there was major event in school’s history. There was lot of excitement and they quickly bonded with students and teachers. Each of the girls were blonde and blue eyed. Lilly loved crafts was always making things. Tess was a little shy and liked to read books. Susan loved to talk and be center of attention. They were also very popular in their church. Late one Saturday tragedy struck this family again. Sarah was grading papers at college while Tom was away from town with the ball team. The girls were at home with a babysitter. Two men with knives broke into the home. They brutally raped and killed the girls and the babysitter. Within days the two men were caught and put in the local jail. Do think the men should be punished for these killings or do think they should be let off with warning? If you are like me, you think the two should go death row and fry without a long line of appeals. This situation demands justice. They brutally killed three 7 year olds and 17 year old girl. If this happened in your own family wouldn’t you want justice? Most would. Why was hell created? For Justice. The devil and his angel rebelled against God. They tried to seize the throne of God and throw God out of heaven. God created Hell for the devil and his angels as just punishment for them. Matthew 25:41 (KJV) Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Many men have chosen to rebel against God. They have chosen to sin against God. God is moral God. God is always right. Man is full of flaws and mistakes. Your punishment for not believing that Jesus Christ came and died for you is eternal hell. All have sinned against God and against all those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. We all deserve Hell, but thank God, he has saved some. We don’t decide our punishment. God does. One day every knee shall bow and confess that Jesus Christ is LORD. Why not make it today? Philippians 2:5-11 (KJV) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Father God. We love you. We praise you for your justice. We thank you for saving our souls. Thank you for keeping us out of hell. Help the one who needs this message. Help them to understand it. Help them to get something from it. LORD reach out and bring the one who needs this message. Help them LORD! I pray in Jesus Name. AMEN.
