Election was conducted in-line with the electoral guidelines and the party constitution in an open secret ballot system not by mere raising of hands. A total of 220 delegates were accredited for the election and the aspirants scored the following votes: Hon Agboola Ajayi-97,Hon Abayomi Sheba-59,Otunba Dele Akingboye-45, Okunfolami-19,Sarah-0,Kunlere-0. The returnee officer declared Hon Agboola Ajayi winner and returned elected as PDP Candidate for Ondo south senatorial district.
