Why I do what I do... Hi Stacey, I wanted to email you about how much I enjoyed the training session today. I mean to do this every time I attend one of your training sessions, but you know what it’s like, you get back to the office and things start happening and then you forget. But not this time. J I know that you must receive great feedback all the time, but I wanted to share with you my thoughts on my experiences I have had in your sessions over the past few years. I remember first attending a training session with you in Bundaberg. It was at the Brothers Club upstairs in the function room. It was when you were working for the REIQ and I had only been in Property Management for about 12 months. Prior to this particular training session, I had attended a few others and did not feel motivated at all. Most were dull, boring, couldn’t answer questions and weren’t that knowledgeable, particularly about the ACT in general. What I clearly remember from that first training session (which I think may have been around 2005, 2006?) was how impressed I was with the way you delivered that particular session, how knowledgeable you were about the legislation and very importantly how motivated I felt during and after the session. I remember thinking, ‘Wow this lady is good’. Throughout the past 8 or 9 years, I have attended many of your training sessions and have been equally as excited, motivated and empowered with each one. I am so glad now to be part of an office that allows us to attend your training sessions on a regular basis. With each new session I try and implement your ideas & procedures to better myself as a Property Manager and make sure I get the most of my job, which at times can be quite difficult and sometimes stressful. Another great thing about your training sessions and why they are like no other – is your focus on the legislation. Not only to improve our knowledge but I also feel like you are doing it because you genuinely want to give us the best tools to protect us in this job. You know how we feel as you have been there before – and we know you understand us. Today’s session was fantastic. Honestly, all of your sessions are but this one in particular made me re-think what I am discussing with tenants. I had a lot of ‘light bulb’ moments today where I thought, ah huh that is what I am doing wrong. Particularly with the Break Lease Scenarios. Stacey I really admire you, and your business and your knowledge as a trainer. I hope you continue this for years to come so I can attend many more sessions and continue to be inspired! Have a lovely weekend, enjoy that glass (bottle) of win
