Why I dont have faith in the military: Im sorry, the most helpless I ever felt was when I was in bootcamp in Fort Benning Georgia and a truck load of White dudes dressed in full KKK gear pulled up and stopped at a redlight. I was in full Uniform and did an about face and left. Do you think I could have counted on the ARMY to back me up? Hell no. The 2nd time was when I was called a nigger in the military by a White dude, and spoke to the Drill Sargent, I would have been felt like the victim, and was told I would have to go through the training again if I opened a case, or I could suck it up and keep moving and get him when we do hand to hand training. (Boy did I). The 3rd time was in a cattle truck when a group of White dudes started their racist jokes, when I told them to stop the lieutenant didnt say shit. I cant depend on them to protect me here in my own country, do you think I am going to buy that they are protecting us by killing innocent poor people some place else. The real heros are those that stand against the social ills of this country so we can others abroad can live in peace.
