Why I like Marlboro Community Concerns. OK So it seems a lot of people are confused about why I like MCC. To end the confusion and for the record, heres why: Its an open public forum. Unedited. Unscripted. Anyone can post their thoughts. I crave this raw information. Its why God gave us a brain. To use it to form our own thoughts from as much knowledge as we can amass, not to blindly follow. I dont want a world run by behind the scenes oligarchs and neither do you. If MCC had at any point turned into a group making its decisions behind the scenes I would have quit them. The truth is they never did. What you see here is what you get, and if you dont participate in this kind of process then you are probably in one of five categories: 1. You are uninterested in the subject matter. 2. You have an ulterior motive for not participating. 3. You are put off by the more extreme positions taken. 4. You are put off by the rudeness and nastiness of some posts. 5. You are afraid to post or see no need as your opinion is expressed by someone else and you want to remain anonymous. Before venturing into politics I would have been in category 4. But as I am now representing a lot of folks I cant let my own personal bias rule. And the truth is I am glad to have overcome this. Again, its all about the data. Its not about the personalities.
