Why I only work one DS/MLM Business: Hello everyone, my name is - TopicsExpress

Why I only work one DS/MLM Business: Hello everyone, my name is Kelly Gentle, I am a Triple Diamond Leader with It Works Global. I have owned my time for the past three years. Before I joined IWG, I worked at Wal-Mart and qualified and used Food Stamps. I want to share with you a few things I have learned along my journey. I am by no means a PRO at DS/MLM, I still continue to learn from the top leaders and top income earners of our company and from FREE programs offered on the internet and with IWG. Being in the DS/MLM field, I get to pick the hours I want, earn residual income and fit it around my family needs. Before, when I worked a JOB, my family needs had to fit around my work schedule. As my own boss, my social media/car/business cards and how I portray myself, are just some of the ways my business front is presented to the world. I am my own store front. If I were to own a brick and mortar business, my store front would be what the outside world sees as what my business has to offer to them. The GREAT thing about being in DS/MLM is that there is already a corporate structure in place and there is no need to pay for the lease of the building; the overhead costs; for employees; insurance; inventory (at least with IWG, I dont have to keep a huge inventory on hand, it gets sent directly to the customer); vendor contracts; and etc... You make an initial investment to get permission from that company to sell the product and then you work your business with the guidelines of the company. I want you to look at successful businesses out in the world. They all have a product line that is specific to them. As they became successful, they expanded locations and maybe even added items to their line of products or adjusted to the needs and wants of the consumers. While they were working on their business, making it successful, do you think they decided to open up other businesses with other products before they reached a level of success with their initial business? No, because they focused on being successful with one business venture at a time. They didnt split their focus. Now take a look at the top income earners and leaders of DS/MLM businesses. Do you see them working multiple DS/MLM? No, why? because they know that they are successful and earn the income they earn because they focus on building the one business they are currently working. When you split your focus, you split your customers and your income. While you may initially think that if you sign up for all these different DS/MLM then you can be the ONE person that your friends and family reach out to when they need something, it really doesnt work out that way. To be a part of more than one DS/MLM business, you have to work two or more businesses at once... which spreads yourself thin and you cannot fully concentrate on building any of them to success. You give off the vibe of being desperate. You could be working a vendor event and selling one product there and then casually mentioning that you also sell products from company A, B C and D. This would be the same as a person opening up a coffee shop and then one month later opening up a tire and lube shop. Neither have anything to do with the other and sure... while a customer is getting their tires rotated and oil change, they could come and buy a coffee from your coffee shop, but you have to keep up on the business records of both, the advertising of both, the inventory of both, wanting both to be successful but you cannot focus on the coffee shop if your tire and lube needs you to come in early because you dont have anyone to cover that shift, and vice versa. While you could earn a couple extra dollars here and there by having your hand in every pie available, you lose out on recruiting people who would be successful in DS/MLM because those that want to make it big, they choose one company and work on the success from that one company.... let me put it this way... would you honestly want someone working for you that worked for your competitors as well? How would you feel if you had a brick and mortar business and one of your employees was discussing how they are opening up their own sandwich shop and it also serves coffee... Or even in this light: Lets say you have a distributor under you who signs up with a non-competing MLM and has been working multiple DS/MLM. They are splitting their income to cover costs for each company they are involved with and have only seen moderate success because they are too busy trying to promote and work all the businesses. They then start this cycle of switching DS/MLM every few months because they arent seeing the immediate success they were hoping for. Their network of friends and family will not be able to keep up with what business they are promoting and that person will not be taken seriously when they approach friends and family to join yet another business venture with them. The point of this is to not discourage people from finding their niche, dreaming of a better life and income, the point of this is to have you focus your time and energy on one business to become successful and receive validation for the work you have put in for it.
