Why I think community participation can be a citizens literacy for engagement. Not just politically, but socially, and economically. Here is a powerful TED talk on why government in this country needs to invest more in community libraries. Maybe its not a privatised Australia Post the LNP should fold Centrelink services into, but LIBRARIES...built up and properly supported as community information hubs.
