Why Im voting YES. No more than one year ago I was an adamant no voter. I thought that there was no way that Scotland could go it alone. However since about September last year I have been doing my own research looking at various things to help me make an informed decision. Regarding the recent hot topic of us keeping the pound, I dont really see why it would be a problem to have an independent pound pegged to UK Sterling. Although realistically Better Together saying they wont support a currency union doesnt make sense. Its being used purely as a scare tactic. Would be ridiculous of the UK government to make the choice make UK business pay hundreds of millions in fees to do business with Scottish firms... Anyways enough about that. One of the main reasons for me is the fact that we do not have a government that we actually voted for. I dont have the figures but I reckon the current UK government would have came third or even fourth in the Scottish vote. That doesnt make sense to me. I do believe that a lot of people who are undecided are scared of change, which makes sense...but is it not worth a try? I genuinely believe of we so not do this future generations will be let down and probably be disgusted that we didnt do this. We wont get the chance again any time soon. Im not trying to sway anyones vote. I think people should do the same as me and read up on it INDEPENDENTLY. Remember most of the UK media is owned by a very small number of firms with their own agendas. Dont waste it.
