Why Is it that when somebody reminds us, we always say I know - TopicsExpress

Why Is it that when somebody reminds us, we always say I know myself more than you. when we are being reminded to pray the salah or ask to wear the hijab(for women), we say i know myself even if i dont pray or wear that hijab, and allah knows that my heart is good the question is do we really know ourselves? if we really know ourselves why is it that it is easy for us to neglect our responsibilities, did we forget our testimony to Allah, when we were ask alastubirabbikum qaluw bala shahidna am i not your master? we testify that indeed you are. how dare we speak in behalf of Allah that we are good and our hearts are clean, when we neglect his commandments. everyone of us are born with fitrah (nature of submitting to Allah), we were born with uncorrupted hearts which is able to see the truth of ISLAM(complete submission to the will of the creator), it is thru the teachings of our parents and the corrupt society that we forget our true nature fitrah. there is a famous quote not a hadeeth, he who knows himself knows his master we must know within ourselves that we are a slave of Allah and he is our master, let us humble ourselves to him, he knows what is good for us, even though following the teachings of Allah may look strange to everyone today, -let us humble ourselves and give Islam a chance in our life- muna muna patumtum pa baran By: Tuwan Abdel Aziz Dawami
