Why #Jaylalita has bhakts ? The basic principle of Representative Democracy is to look at politician as representative not as Leader/ mayBaap. Unfortunately, in India, our Politicians are less as Representative and more as mayBaap. Problem starts there. When you take them as representative, accountability lies on their shoulders,they are answerable to people. But when they are more as mayBaap, they are accountable to nobody. Hence we do not have true Democracy rather we have maayBaap democracy where we elect our Guardians/maybaap rather than our Representatives. Situation will change only then when we start taking Politicians as mere Representatives, making them accountable to us.And it will take time.
