Why Me Lord ? Sitting across the aisle from a very nice young - TopicsExpress

Why Me Lord ? Sitting across the aisle from a very nice young man in an IHOP, we were both having breakfast for lunch. As the video shows, this fellow for some reason kept tapping his shoe on the tile floor. Either because he was nervous or perhaps he just enjoyed doing it. It was very annoying. He must have had metal taps on the bottom of his soles, because it made a very loud noise almost continually. After a few minutes we made eye contact. He didnt seem very threatening, almost friendly in fact. So I got up an went and set in the booth with him and told him a short story about a time in a theater in Austin where a guy setting behind me kept tapping his foot loudly. In that case it it was in the middle of the afternoon, the movie was Pulp Fiction. It had been in theaters for a while and several people had told me how much I need to go see it. So here I was with my wife watching Pulp Fiction in a dark theater with the only other person beside us in attendance is sitting behind us and across the aisle tapping his foot. After a few minutes I turned and ask him to not do it anymore. He stopped for a few seconds, only to start doing it again. I then got up and walked to the back of the theater and stood for a few seconds and at a very tense part of the movie I walked up and grabbed him by the collar, gave it a big yank and told him to hit the road. It scared him so bad that he did as I said, except much faster than I expected. Of course I set there wondering if he would be back with a gun or a knife, but never saw him again. I tell this story, not recommending anyone else ever try it. That was in the mid-90s. Things are different know-a-days. BTW: I guess the young fellow today got the message, as he finished his lunch and scampered out with out making any more noise. In fact he left without me noticing. I meant to pay his check but he was out the door before I knew it.
