Why Unaffiliated? When you see my name on the ballot, it will be listed last due to how the ballot was put together this year. Dont let the Unaffiliated confuse you... All it means is that I chose to run an Unaffiliated campaign for county commissioner this year instead of going through the primary election process. In order to get my name on the November ballot myself and my supporters collected more than 3,565 signatures from Randolph County voters on a ballot petition, and in doing so became only the second Unaffiliated candidate to successfully complete the voter signature requirement in County history for county commissioner. I chose to run an unaffiliated campaign for county commissioner because I felt strongly that the County needs leaders who care more about the future of our county than local politics... leaders who will be pro-active and listen to the citizen’s concerns.... leaders who will make smart, informed decisions which will benefit the entire county, including the residents of our cities and towns. I am counting on Randolph County voters of all political parties - including independent voters who arent affiliated to any particular political party - to recognize that someone with my strong work ethic and experience could bring new and fresh ideas to the Board of County Commissioners. I understood it would be an uphill battle as unaffiliated candidates rarely do well against established party-picked candidates. But the people in Randolph are tired of the poor business decisions such as a regional landfill and 4.5 cents property tax increase when we are in a recovering economy and so many are unemployed. Vote for KYLE DIXON as your first ever commissioner in the history of Randolph County as an UNAFFILIATED candidate. Together we will build a stronger Randolph County.
