Its a way that you can use to get lots of free traffic to your affiliate marketing website directly from people searching on search engines for your topic or niche. These people are genuinely interested in checking out whatever it is they are searching for, so if you can get your site to show up in the results, you will be putting your website in front of thousands of people who are actively looking for your products or services. Lots of affiliates use SEO exclusively as a way to get traffic to their affiliate sites, and depend on SEO completely for their income. So should you use SEO? Yes! But if you want to get a lot of traffic from search engines, you website needs to be listed at the TOP of the search results. To achieve this, you can either use paid PPC marketing or free SEO marketing. SEO: What is it When you go to a search engine like Google, Bing, or Yahoo and do a search, you will be presented with two major types of results: paid results and natural results. The paid results are sites that have paid the search engine to run PPC or Pay-Per-Click advertisements, and every time someone clicks on their site, they have to pay money to the search engine for that click. The cost can be pennies per click, or as much as $30 or more for SUPER competitive markets. Organic or natural results are websites that the search engine has decided are the most relevant to whatever search term your typed in to search for. There is not way to pay the search engine to increase your natural search engine ranking position, but there are things you can do to make the search engines think your site is the most relevant for certain keywords, which will make your site appear at the top of the results. These things you can do to improve your ranking on the search engines is called SEO. But most people dont really look past the first page of results, let alone the second, third, fourth page, or further. So if you want to get traffic using SEO, you need to make sure your site shows up as close to #1 as possible for your main keywords.
