Why We Started PetsMove.org We started the PetsMove.org initiative to create a community focused on helping YOU & your PET get healthy & fit while having fun together. Research shows that a healthy pet lives a longer life, so our goal is to increase the longevity of your pets and improve the quality of their life. Mission Statement Similar to the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” initiative to fight childhood obesity, “PetsMove.org” initiative raises awareness of the pet obesity issue and offers incentive, education and information to our community on keeping their pets fit and healthy. Who We Are PetsMove.org was founded by SlimDoggy, the creators of the SlimDoggy app for tracking canine fitness and food, Dr. Katy Nelson, host of The Pet Show and health and fitness reporter for WJLA (ABC,Washington DC) and Krista Wickens, CEO of PetZen Products, creator of DogTread Canine Fitness equipment and the soon to be released virtual canine personal trainer Canine Gym.
