Why am I the person I am today? Could it be my course could have - TopicsExpress

Why am I the person I am today? Could it be my course could have been laid out before I was ever conceived in the womb? Did God put me in the right places at the right time to become a minister of His Gospel? Jeremiah 1:5-9(NKJV) 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” 6Then said I: “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” 7But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak. 8 Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord. 9Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. If we will obey the call God has placed in our lives our journey will be very fruitful in him. Where we get in trouble with our lives is not using the God given talents we have instilled in our minds. Everyone has talents of some kind and can be used to make this life a better place in which to live. If we never attempt to accomplish anything our life could be lived without accomplishment at all. In my childhood I had no inclination to become a pastor at all. I never thought about it nor did I think I had any talent at all in ministering for God. When I think back about it, I believe the call was there all along. I just had to be in the right place at the right time for the Lord to set the calling forth in my life. I pray today my life has touched many for Christ’s sake and I am so glad I did obey from my heart. What would have happened if I had rejected this call? I don’t even want to think about that. I could have lived and died in a miserable walk of life. Misery is living without any hope at all and fearing death is about to come upon one at anytime. It is not Christ’s will for any to perish, but many will because they do not obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One basic rule in serving God is we must be able to take instructions. When we follow the instructions we will live a better life with the promise of inheriting the kingdom of God. If we choose not to obey all hope of life after death is lost because of our choice. The gift of life is a free gift given through the sacrifice of Christ. The bottom line is we choose to accept the free gift or reject it. We only have one person we can blame if we do not enter into God’s kingdom and that is ourselves. Use your God given talents. Blessings. Written by Harold E. Miller
