Why are bulldogs an expensive breed: The price of any commodity - TopicsExpress

Why are bulldogs an expensive breed: The price of any commodity is generally gauged by what the market will bear. In New York and California, they start at $4000. In the back woods of Alabama, you might find them for $1100, but not of the best quality. . If you want to know what is involved in the reproduction of this particular animal, gee, thats a long story. I can start with: 1 ~ artificial insemination (they do not breed on their own) 2 ~ c-section (they do not give birth on their own) 3 ~ Round the Clock puppy care (mommy will sit on them and kill them, so you have to take them away from mommy, and bring them back to nurse on a schedule that starts at every two hours). Whoever raises the litter has to be unemployed and willing and able to spend a lot of time with their alarm clock. . There are other types of Bulldogs who are not from show quality stock and may not even be AKC, so if you want to buy one of them, they go for much less. Start by researching Victorian Bulldogs. . These dogs are the cadillac of canines, I guess. They are also fraught with medical problems and so, the old saying is : If you cant afford to buy one, you cant afford to own one. Beagles are a lot cheaper….. and healthier…… and they kiss just as good.
