Why are homesite leases taking so long? Fridays front page of Gallup Independent, newspaper.., Harlen Charley, Land Department Manager, said, 3 NN department are required to enforce federal and NN laws concerning permits and homesite leases; NN-EPA, fish&wildlife and Historic Preservation..., outstanding the environmental impacts and requirements on Navajo Trust Land which belongs to the federal government.., continue to say, Navajo Nation does not have a deed for federal trust land.............., I totally disagree with Director Mike Holona and his staff..., they rather promote themselves as non-elected government officials in policy-making group.., all bureaucracy barriers and blame federal government..., have all the excuses not to issue homesite lease so people cant build their homes.. for better living standard.
