Why are people called African American? If you were born in America your a black American or you should be called American in my book no colour should be in it..I remember when i filled in forms and it had race i would make another box and tick Human...I remember Whoopie Goldberg getting mad when someone called her African American she said hey i am a proud black American woman...I have a friend born in Africa he moved to the USA when he was 28 now near 40 he has citizenship etc ..so can he put African American on his papers even thou he is white??
