Why are so many people such flakes? I have at least one person a week call me up and tell me they are going to hire me and make an appointment. I then mark out an hour on my calender to meet with them. Then they do not show up--I really love it when they do this to me after 5:00 p.m. or on the weekend--or they call me an hour before the appointment to tell me, Oh, I got somebody. LISTEN: If you are just going down some list you have looking for the very cheapest attorney you can find, then there is no need to call me. I am a very experienced, accomplished and competent attorney. My prices are fair and about average for the Tulsa area, but I am not a discount attorney. If you want a discount attorney to screw up your case, not even look at the police reports, doesnt know how to do suppression motions and costs you more money in the long run and maybe even cost you some signification prison time, then make an appointment with one of those guys. Why do some people make an appointment with me and then hang up the phone and keep going down the list, making more calls, looking for the cheapest attorney. Maybe you should not commit to an appointment until you are sure you are really going to keep the appointment. Furthermore, I have at least a couple of people coming in, or sending me letters from prison, a month wanting me to fix what some discount attorney did in their case. Once you have plead guilty, you are DONE! I cannot fix what that incompetent discount attorney did to you. It is too late. This is why it makes a lot more sense, and in the long run costs you a lot less money, to hire a competent and experience attorney in the first place.
