Why are the Muslims Armies not intervening in Gazza? This question is on the tongues of many. Rather then falling into despair and giving up hope on the Muslim Armies it is necessary to understand the possible reasons for why the Armies are silent and not intervening to rescue the Muslims of Gazza or any other places where Muslims are oppressed, the list is too long to mention. We need to understand the factors of Muslim decline, which has led to the current status quo. Historically the Ottomans and the other Muslims powers sensed that they were in decline comparison to other western powers, especially Europe after the industrial revolution. Consequently, the Muslims wanted to catch-up with western powers by initiating series of reforms. One areas of reform was modernization of the armed forces by transferring western military technology and latest modern warfare techniques. The Muslim army personnel was sent to western capitals such Paris and London to be trained in modern warfare, rather then just being trained in warfare and technology, many Muslim officers were educated in western thoughts and ideas which had severe impact on their personalities. Their personality changed from being Islamic personality to a secular personality, where the thinking and behavior was modeled on the western culture. They longer referred to Islam as the reference for their thinking and behavior rather the reference point became secularism and western culture. There motivation was no longer to fight for the cause of Islam and Muslims, rather the motivation was to fight for their country and fellow countrymen and to protect the rulers. Until today the Muslim armies are still trained not only in combat but also in culture and thought of the colonialist countries. As a result the colonialists use Muslim Armies as a means to exert political influence in most Muslim countries. Therefore it is not surprising when the Muslim armies do not intervene in various crises such as Gazza, since intervening is not in line with interest of the rulers and western powers. To remedy this problem, we need to interact with the Muslim Armies and destroy the corrupt western thoughts and build the correct Islamic thoughts so that the Muslim armies realize that the Islamic military doctrine is to fight for the cause of Islam and Muslims and not to serve the interest of the corrupt rulers and the western powers who use the armies to control the Muslim countries. Some important key points to bear in mind regards to the Muslim armies: 1. All Muslims soldiers are not corrupt or disbelievers, for many it is a means to seek good livelihood. Many have Islamic sentiments and sense what is happening to the Ummah. 2. The rulers keep the armies separate from the general society, so that they do not sense the need for any change and consequently revolt against the rulers 3. We can reach many of the Muslim soldiers because they are our fathers, sons, brothers, cousins etc. They are the sons of this Ummah. 4. We need to carry a specific message to them: a. They must understand their role defined by Islam b. They have power to bring about fundamental change c. They are responsible for the protection of the Ummah d. They must cut off relations with the colonialist kafir states e. They need revolt against the current rulers and annul the kufr constitutions and appoint a Khaleefah and declare the Khilafah f. They need to be reminded of their role is the inheritors of Khaleed bin Walid and other great champions of Islam g. Remind them of the noble role of the Al-Ansaar supporting Rasollah (saw) in establishing the first Islamic state in Medina h.
