Why are we deliberating on irrelevant issue - girl marriage? We - TopicsExpress

Why are we deliberating on irrelevant issue - girl marriage? We suppose to focus our attention on the fallen standard of education in Nigeria. The implementation of ASUU/FG agreement. Our youths are at home from Federal Polytechnics and Nigerian Universities. Let us think positively. Where is the future of the Nigerian child? Is it true that Youths are the leaders of tomorrow? We have senators, House of Reps members, governors who are at their eighties, when will they give us chance to rule? No wonder they are working on dealing with us - killing the education sectors so that we remain illiterates and they will use as their political thugs. It is high time we resist it. Nigerian education system is in a sorry stage. We have been hearing of e-learning, e-library etc, is it true that if you go to the Nigerian universities you will get the computers? How Nigerian Universities have functional libraries loaded with computer systems apart from some small computer laboratories with computers that are not up to fifty against a population of more than twenty thousand students? They used our resources to educate themselves during their youthful age but today they are depriving us that same opportunity. Prof. Rukaiyyat a beneficiary of ASUU struggles, she is in power today enjoying all the privileges of that office, she forget where she came from. Time shall soon tell. From that office where will she go? Our president Dr. Goodluck a lecturer he too has forgotten where he came from? He went to Aso Rock without shoes, but today he is matching on the Nigerian youths with iron shoes that have hokes. By the time they refused to allow Nigerian youths get rid of their illiteracy, they will certainly pay the price, because they will learn how to be arm robbers, kidnappers, thugs; they will enjoy the money they embezzle. My question for us to ponder is. How many senators in support of the girl marriage can give out his daughter for marriage at the age of 13? As senators that are supporting their religion, can they truly give out their children for marriage? or can they encourage their male children to marry 13 year girls? Sen. Yarima is a problem to Nigeria. He married a girl of 15 and divorced her at the age of 17. Married another one at the age of 13 and very soon he will divorce her. May by this time he will marry a 5 year old girl and divorce her at age 7.
