Why baseball season means more to me than nba and nfl: it goes back to when I was younger. Playing little league. Something about baseball stirrup socks and making sure they were straight. Fielding a ball in the dirt.Going to candlestick park or oakland stadium and seeing the guys I had the cards of. Hating the giants, but secretly knew everyone on the team and their stats. Cheered them on under my breath. Listening to Vin Scully on the radio heading down to grams or auntie Millies in the summer. Dodger stadium. Where the game is meant to be played at. Baseball gave me and my dad something to talk about. Every start of season i would call and brag about the dodgers and make fun of Barry bonds. I carry that on with my brother and mom but every season it reminds me more of my dad and I still have urge to call him. Baseball means Hope and dreams and failures and triumphs. And also memories. Not just whats on the field, but in your life. Makes u remember. Makes me remember about my dad.
