Why couldnt they have moved into one of the closed schools and used it as a headquarters, existing furniture and all? The furniture there was good enough for the students and teachers, it should be good enough for administration too. They could have moved into Robert Emmet Elementary School on Madison and Central and revitalized the area. Imagine the amount of business CPS staff could have contributed to that neighborhood just for lunches or the amount of additional security and police that would be moved there to make the neighborhood safer?
