Why did we get these kids to HANG AROUND??? Well it wasnt just because it was fun and they like playing on the rings and bars!!! NOOOOO it was that AND because this movement helps build up strength in the back, shoulders and arm areas! This is a progressive movement that we call MONKEY HANGS where kids switch on their shoulders and lift themselves to try and touch their ears to their elbows - thats how they know their shoulders are switched on!! The progression of this movement is into pull ups or chin up. Something for a few months down the track, after weve worked on their upper body strength some more!!! Until then, well let the kids monkey around some more by hanging and swinging from the bar!!!!
