Why do I light it up Blue???? That beautiful, loving, caring, playful, intelligent, cheeky tall blonde boy is not the rain man.... But autism is a part of him. It is my job as his mum to be his advocate, and surround him with a world that is autism aware, to make his path that little less challenging, as he sure as hell has more than his share of those! My son is the most powerful person I know. He has changed me, and continues to shape me, he has taught me true value, and the beauty and power and significance in the small, in the moment. I light up blue for Sidney James Hort xxx
