Why do companies have to show out like this.... now I have to go - TopicsExpress

Why do companies have to show out like this.... now I have to go write another angry letter. Good Evening. I would like to first like to state that I am a true fan of Kohls, I love your stores, overall pricing and layout. You make shopping easy, and enjoyable. Normally a bad experience would not keep me from going back to a specific location because as we all know mistakes and accidents happen. What happened to me the day after Christmas was CLEARLY no mistake. In fact, I believe that someone at your department store has decided to ruin not just Christmas for me, but my life in general. I received a Bissell Spot Bot for Christmas from my parents. It is the only thing that I knew for certain that I absolutely needed for Christmas as I have a one and half year old little girl who loves dumping every container that she comes in contact with onto the carpet and then proceeds to step in it like a rain puddle. Having new carpet, and the most recent puddle playing with a glass of concentrated pure cranberry juice, I just KNEW that my life really needed a stain remover. So, being the faithful Kohls shoppers that my family is, a Bissell spot bot was purchased and given to me on Christmas. I was filled with such joy, it felt like it was not just Christmas, but my birthday, my daughters birthday and my wedding day all over again. After going to work today, I decided that I would open up this bad boy and give it a whirl to try to get some of these stains out as I too wanted to give my new Christmas toy a try. When I opened the box, I pulled back the cracked styrofoam and waited for angels to sing from the sight of my spot bot, yet heard only redneck yelling and a recycling bin of glass bottles... my beautiful spot bot had water in it!! I pulled it out of the box and scratched my head. Odd I would say that my Brand New Toy had already been used. (or so it seemed) I pulled out the instructions and read that I should have 2 bottles of trial sized cleaner so I can try out my new machine, and see if I liked those products. There was only 1 bottle (one was missing) and when I unscrewed that cap the seal was broken, and shockingly (not really) the cleaning solution that one would think would be in the bottle of cleaner was actually replaced with water. Now. As if my machine being used was not bad enough... a bottle of cleaner was missing, and the other had been filled with water I am a little pissed off. Being that this was the ONLY thing that I wanted for Christmas, that I waited all day to come home from work and use it and am now wasting precious time that I *could have been scrubbing spots with* to write you a letter I am absolutely outraged. And now- I have to take time to go down to your store and explain to an unsuspecting (or perhaps not) worker behind the counter that your company apparently recycles products to just make quota and doesnt actually care about the people shopping there. I would very much prefer an email back in detail explaining how this will be rectified. Ps.. My mom said that one of the top corners of the box was wet when she wrapped it for me, and that she thought maybe one of the cleaners had leaked... Now I know, it is because someone at the store had JUST repacked this used machine to resell it. How cool is that?
