Why do many decide to pursue a home based business to supplement their incomes? Because the typical model we were all taught, doesnt work as well as it once did. Less than 100 years ago, 80% of families owned their own businesses and only 20% worked for others. Loyalty to one company used to insure you had a great pension to retire on and would be able to sustain your families lifestyle. Fast forward to today and you have 80% working for others and 20% controlling all the wealth in the world. What worked yesterday just isnt relevant any more. Work 40 hours plus a week for 40 years, only to retire on 40% of what you could barely live on while being loyal isnt beneficial to anyone. Not to mention all the outsourcing and layoffs from the major corps we all know. Theres NO security in Corporate America anymore, so having a solid plan B makes logical sense to protect yourself and loves ones to many of us. Its not right or wrong, it just IS what it is.
