Why do many things go wrong? why cant we make it right? Why do human treat fellow human carelessly? Why dont we value human life as it ought to be valued? Why do we take life we could not give? Action is being needed here, call it a legislation, bylaw, or bill of necessity but all i know is something needed to be done!! We need to challenge the government, those who calls themselves leaders should step up and do things right because if this is not check, many things will go wary in time to come!!! Why do our so called doctors are killing human being with impunity??? Do they or can they create human being? Doctors in Nigeria are killing their fellow human with impunity. People will visit hospital to get treated but its heart breaking that someone who on his/her own visited hospital will be taken home death!!! why??? Why cant government step in here and make a law to take care of these carelessness on the part of doctors??? Look if a patient dies in your hospital in the western world, government will investigate it and if u find wanting, then your licence will be withdrawn and you will made to face the law, many doctors are in the prison, just because of their negligence. If you mishandle an animal as a doctor in the western world,you will be dealt with and sometime, doctors pays heavily for just a mistake they made that did not involve human life. But why is it different in Nigeria? Why do doctors takes law into their own hand in the name of treatment. When you visited a hospital in Nigeria for a common operation, just make sure that u signed your will before entering theater because coming out alive is in the hand of God. And the worst of it all is when they lose a patient to the hand of death, they will come out and tell the relations sorry we did all we could do but he/she didnt make it my question now is, what did they do? did they called a specialist during the operation? Somebody who walked in and u brought him/her out dead, telling people that you did all u could do. When there is a law the sends doctors to prison for carelessness, then more care will be taken by so called doctors. I remembered when i took my Mum to a hospital for appendix (operation) but the moment the doctor asked me to sign her death warrant (sign a form before an operation will be carry on), I refused and asked for an alternative and a prescription was given to me, which we fellow and that operation was not carried on and since more than 10 years now, she has not complained about appendix again. Something emergence need to be done, doctors should always made to face the consequence of their actions. The trend now is alarming, two days ago a woman at Onitsha went to the hospital on her own for just a common operation and the news that came out was that the woman is death, the doctor killed this woman and made her husband and five kids orphans and widow!!!! who will now take care of these kids? another woman? how? with the same love, their mother gives them??? No way!!!! I cant stop crying about this incident. Why do doctors allow to go Scot free when they commit murder? Things need to be changed, a life is always a life, a life of a patient is as important as a life of a doctor.
